Today we had (9) teams (36 members) teeing off at Doi Inthanon for our monthly away match. The weather was excellent, hot with some light breezes, and the course was in excellent condition. In addition, we virtually had the course to ourselves resulting in taking less than (4) hours from our initial tee-off to completing our respective rounds. Also, this time the management of the course greatly improved for our group from the number of caddies available, our on-time starting times, complete with sufficient staff to handle all our lunch and drink orders.

Relative to the golf' first place honors went to the team of Jerry Buckly and Pranee Buckly posting an impressive team net score of (59) strokes. 2nd place with a net score of (65) points was shared between the team of Ron Hill / Terry Redding and Peter Gamble-Beresford /Jack Kuzina. We had a 3-way tie for 3rd place posting a score of (66) net strokes from the teams of Ted and Ram Taylor, David Murphy / Richie Tierney and Rob Lassig and David Stephens.

In conclusion it appeared that all the members enjoyed their day of golf at Doi Inthanon as we received no complaints other than some members stating they were exhausted from carrying thier respective partner all day. We did we have (1) special request that was registered by Lesley Mullon that "If I by chance have the same team partner next year can he also play off the ladies' red tees?"
